You need to get the book. If you have it, read it. It is easy to follow but there is alot of food to buy. I am half way through the first phase,( one week) and I have lost 6 lbs so far. It is a slow diet meaning it will get the weight off slowly. That is the best way to do it anyway. If you don't want to read the book, just stay away from complex carbs which include potatoes, rice, pasta, and bread for the first two weeks and slowly add them in as you progress beyond the first two weeks. No fruit or fruit juice. Plenty of non starchy veggies and lean protein. good luck.

Anything whole wheat, no white flower. Good choices are fiber one, whole wheat pasta, brown rice vegies like squash and other greens, flax seed. Just remember eat only one serving other wise you will end up eating to much carb anyways.

Think brown.

Brown Rice

Brown(whole wheat) pasta

whole grain breads

Oatmeal

Bulgar(cracked wheat)

Whole grains

These are complex carbs.

It takes your body longer to digest them, thus leaving you with a feeling of fullness longer.
