How Do You Spike Up Long Hair/make It Stand On End? And Get It To Stay With The Least Side Effects?....for A Guy?

so as the question basically reads, i need to keep a few inches worth of hair standing(spikey, in a sense) with the least damaging side effects gels and waxes normally cause.any suggestions???any do's and dont's??thanks!

There are some hair gels that will do this. Look in the man's hair section.

Start with a good shampoo and conditioner, then while it's wet apply mousse to give body. Blow dry it with a round brush A friend of mine dries it upside down so it is standing straight up, then you can style it and put hair spray on it(the kind that creates a dry look).  Voila, it looks like you have a lot of hair. A friend of mine dries it upside down so it is standing straight up, then you can style it and put hair spray on it(the kind that creates a dry look).  Voila, it looks like you have a lot of hair.
