Length & Time Solved , Why Not Weight ?

Yes, you bring up an interesting point. All other fundamental units in the SI at this point have been defined in terms of physical effects that can reproduced by anyone in a lab. All except the kilogram. It is still tied to a single object. I presume eventually, the kilogram will be redefined in terms of something more fundamental such as a certain number of Carbon12 atoms.

By the way, the kilogram is a measure of mass and not weight. There is a difference. Weight is the force of gravity on an object and fluctuates wildly depending on where you are in the universe. Mass does not change depending on where you are.
