How Can I Control My Compulsive Overeating?

Postby Coilleach » Thu Oct 12, 2017 2:11 am

I eat when I am not hungry, I always think about food, I always want to eat, the worst is after I get home from school. I eat and eat and eat and eat. It doesn't matter if I am hungry or not. I'll try to stop eating but food is all I think about. I am not overweight and I am an athlete so I am in pretty good shape I just know this is not healthy and I hate the relationship I have with food. I always always want to eat and I can never stop. Please help me...

How do you manage to maintain your weight? I would think that if you are really a compulsive overeater that you would be at least a little overweight.
Maybe you just really need a lot of food since you are an athlete.
Do you eat foods that satisfy you or just low-calorie type foods so that you can eat a lot and yet maintain your weight.

I recommend reading Paul McKenna's book, "I Can Make You Thin".
It works on improving relationships with food.

Have you tried chewing gum or keeping your mouth busy.
Also try to keep the food at a distance or keep yourself at a distance from the food
